shyland
This is a work of Anthon Astrom and me.
Shyland is an interactive projection of an image of a piece of land, a gloomy forest inhabited by timid creatures.
As long as the spectator keeps silent and motionless he will witness a musical piece generated by the movements of the beasts slowly appearing from the darkness. Through interaction the spectator builds a bridge between the image and the space: The border between real and unreal is disarranged, illusion becomes comprehensible and crosses the border to reality.
